About Punt Hub

Punt Hub is a free racing information and odds comparison website that puts fields, bookmaker prices, market moves, tips and results on one race card for Australian punters.

What Punt Hub does

Race cards and fields

Every meeting on the Racing page lists its fields with barriers, jockeys or drivers, trainers, tips and late scratchings, across thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing in Australia, New Zealand and international meetings. You can filter by code and by state, and the Next To Jump strip takes you straight to the next race. The result is a full read of the race without opening a dozen tabs.

Odds comparison

The Compare view lines up bookmaker prices for each runner side by side and highlights the best available price. Tap any runner for a bookmaker-by-bookmaker comparison sorted best to worst. You see who is paying the most before you bet, rather than after.

Market Movers

Market Movers tracks every price from its opening mark to now, showing which runners are shortening (money coming in) and which are drifting (money going elsewhere). Filter by code, region and price band ($1–$3, $3–$6, $6–$10, $10+) and sort by biggest move or current price. It shows you where the market is heading while there is still time to act.

Tips, Most Tipped and Stars Align

Most Tipped is powered by TipSpot, which pulls together hundreds of daily tipsters to surface the most-backed runner in each race, and Partner Tips add individual form analysts' best bets. Stars Align flags races where the crowd's Most Tipped pick, the Punt Hub community's on-site votes and our partner tipsters land on the same runner. You get the consensus at a glance, then make your own call.

Punt Hub Best of the Day

Each racing day, TipSpot's Edge Finder scores runners across the Australian card and publishes the single runner with the strongest value edge, but only if one clears the minimum score. Every past pick is kept in an archive with its finishing position and final price. You can judge the record for yourself.

Results and Who's Hot

Results lists every winner and placegetter as races settle, for today and yesterday, across all three codes. Who's Hot shows jockeys and trainers on a roll at a track that day. It is a quick way to check what has happened and who is in form.

Race previews, guides and news

Our writers publish feature race previews with the field, barriers, odds, speed map, trends and a best bet, plus plain-English guides on topics like track bias, handicapping and racing codes. The news feed collects racing stories across all codes from industry sources. It is the reading you need before a big race day, in one place.

Bookmaker reviews

Punt Hub has reviewed and rated 14 Australian bookmakers, covering who holds the licence, racing coverage, live vision, deposit and withdrawal options and the trade-offs. Each review gives a straight rating and the strengths and weaknesses as we see them. You can choose a bookmaker on facts, not ads.

Play: tipping competitions, Mystery Runner, Daily Ticket and polls

The Play hub has free race-tipping competitions with leaderboards, a daily Mystery Runner puzzle, a three-leg Daily Ticket built by the Punt Hub team, and community polls on racing's big talking points. They are free to enter with a Punt Hub account. It keeps racing fun on days you are not betting.

Punt Hub Pulse and the Punt Hub Daily email

Punt Hub Pulse is a row of live tiles on the home page and on each race card showing the favourite, second favourite, biggest mover, biggest drifter and most-tipped runner, and signed-in users can reorder tiles and keep a Black Book of saved runners. The Punt Hub Daily email delivers best bets, market moves and racing news on the days you choose. You get a snapshot of the day in seconds.

What makes Punt Hub different

Tips and prices on the same card

Punt Hub puts tip counts, partner picks, the biggest mover and the biggest drifter on the same race card as the best available price. You read the tips and the market together, without switching between sites.

Three independent signals in Stars Align

Stars Align only flags a runner when the crowd's Most Tipped pick, the community's on-site votes and our partner tipsters agree, and crowd signals need at least three tips to count. "Two in Sync" shows races where two of the three agree.

Built by people who have worked inside wagering

The Punt Hub team has worked in bookmaking, account management, customer service and sales, and has traded for some of the biggest betting syndicates in the world. That experience shapes our 14 bookmaker reviews, which cover margins and trade-offs, not just features.

Market Movers with price bands

Market Movers measures every move from opening price to current price and lets you filter by code, region and price band, so a 20% move on a $2 favourite isn't mixed up with a 20% move on a $41 roughie. Biggest movers and drifters also appear on each race card and in the Pulse tiles.

Free, with commission kept out of ratings

Every tool, tip, preview and game on Punt Hub is free, with no subscription and no paywall. We earn commission from some bookmakers, but that never decides a bookmaker's rating, and we show bookmakers we have no commercial deal with.

The team behind Punt Hub

Andrew Porter

One of the main brains behind the Punt Hub passion... a real punting enthusiast at heart, fascinated by probability and mathematics from a young age. If you can bet on it, he will. If you can't, he'll try to start it... He's worked with syndicates, pro punters, poor punters, bookies, SPs, publicans, pelicans and philanthropists...

Andrew also writes Punt Hub's feature race previews, betting strategy guides and racing news.

Punt Hub Editorial Team

Punt Hub is run by a small team. Our race previews, guides and results content are published and maintained by the Punt Hub Editorial Team, which also puts together the polls and the Daily Ticket.

How Punt Hub started

'Twas a cold night in 2016 and a few lads were sitting around a fire, keeping hydrated, when someone was discussing a Waterhouse wagering whippersnapper... we all concluded that there were too many "suits and ties" in racing and no one ever asked what the blokes at the pub thought... We laughed and said, "What are other crossover industries punters love?"..... "Motorsports?" someone chirped... "Bunnings!" was the next call, which was met with a giggle... "Booze!!!" – to which we all raised our Bundy cans... but booze and betting is a pretty bad mix, and so we agreed that was a bad idea... "Um.... hello? PORN?!?!?!" – silence.... then a burst of laughter and nods of suggested agreement. Someone said, "Yeah, Jimmy likes MILFs, whilst I just prefer betting on Wenty Park Quaddies" – another cackle of laughter came and went, whilst everyone went silent, probably thinking about their own favourite..... betting markets... "Oiiiii, what about Punt Hub?!??!".... They say that a stiff wind blew and the fire erupted in almost a sign of permission, and from that moment, it was to be.

Frequently asked questions

Is Punt Hub free to use?

Yes. Every race card, odds comparison, tip, preview, guide and game on Punt Hub is free, and there is no subscription. A free account unlocks extras like tipping, games and saved runners.

How does Punt Hub make money?

We earn affiliate commission from some bookmakers when readers join them through our links. That commission never decides a bookmaker's rating, and our Affiliate Disclosure explains how it works.

Is Punt Hub a bookmaker?

No. Punt Hub does not take bets or run a wagering service. Any bet you place is between you and the licensed bookmaker you choose.

Which racing does Punt Hub cover?

Punt Hub covers thoroughbred, harness and greyhound racing, with Australian, New Zealand and international meetings. You can filter race cards, Market Movers and results by code and region.

How are bookmaker ratings decided?

Our team rates each bookmaker on its racing product, coverage, live vision, deposit and withdrawal options, and the trade-offs that matter to punters. Commercial relationships do not change a rating, and we review bookmakers we have no deal with.

Who writes the race previews?

Feature race previews are written by Andrew Porter and the Punt Hub Editorial Team. Each one covers the field, barriers, odds, speed map, trends and our best bet.

Do I need an account?

No, most of Punt Hub is open to everyone. You only need a free account to tip on races, play games, enter competitions, vote in polls, follow tipsters or save runners.
